White Gold Cross Necklace

Last year I bought my girlfriend a cross necklace and she loved it but now I have a problem on my hands. The holidays are quickly approaching but I have no gift ideas. I could buy her an appliance but they can be expensive and I don’t think that it will have the same sentimental meaning that a cross necklace does. Also an appliance is practical but it lacks meaning. I could buy her that conventional oven that she has wanted for over a year now. But I really don’t want to buy her anything unless I can buy her something that she is going to wear always and grip with her hands when she is thinking of me. Can a conventional oven do that? Not these days, maybe some time in the near future though.

How about a car? She is always complaining about how she has no idea if her car will last through another winter. She told me last year that every time that she was about to put the key into the ignition her heart would be in her throat. When she heard the engine come to life she would breathe a sigh of relief because for another day her car is working. I could even get her a gold watch, but she is not really into watches! Would a car be a better gift than a cross necklace? Let’s see; she liked the cross necklace because when she sees the sun reflect off of it in a mirror or in a shop keeper’s window she would think of me. When she would get the chain of the cross necklace caught in her beautiful hair she will always joke that I must have put something sticky on it when I bought it. Could a car bring those memories? Probably not, and a car it super expensive too.

So what can we buy someone that we have already given a cross pendant to? You really set yourself up for failure when you buy someone cross pendants because it is hard to top it the next time that you buy them something. I could always add to one of the cross necklaces that she has. I could buy a better gold chain for it or maybe even another piece of jewelery to match it with them. Or how about if I buy a safety box for it or a place that she can hang it when she goes to sleep. Maybe that is what I will do. Since I cannot top the gift of a cross then maybe I’ll just buy something to add to it. You know what, I would even consider buying one of those cross necklaces for men because we love them too!
