How To Clean A Gold Watch Intro
If you own a gold watch then it is in your best interest to have it looking its best and be in the best condition. Daily use can make the watch look dull and lose its appeal but if you clean it properly it will bring back its bright shine that you fell in love with when you first bought it. A gold watch can be very valuable and delicate so you will not want to be too rough with it when you are cleaning it. In this article we will discuss how to clean a gold watch.
First Steps On Cleaning Gold Watches
The first step to getting that gold watch clean is to fill a bowl with two cups of warm water and add some dish detergent to the water.
Take off the bracelet from your gold watches if you do not want to get the timepieces wet and place it in the soapy water for fifteen minutes. This will loosen a lot of the dirt and grime from the gold watch and make it much easier to remove without needing to scrub.
After about fifteen minutes remove the rose gold watch from the soapy solution and begin to gently brush it with a toothbrush. I say rose gold because my wife's watch is kind of rose color but these tips apply to all gold watches. Make sure to brush gently, you will not need to apply too much pressure most of the dirt should easily come off of the gold watch.

Cleaning Gold Jewelry - From a Cross Necklace To A Watch
The following would also apply to any gold jewelry, whether it's a watch or a cross necklace.
After you have finished removing the dirt
from the gold watch place it in another bowl that is filled with warm water.
Move the gold watch around in the water to remove the dirt and soap that is
still on the surface of it. As an alternative you can place your gold watch in
a strainer and run water over it. This may help to remove some of the more
stubborn bits of dirt that are stuck to its surface. These bits of dirt can also be found in chains of cross necklaces.
Dry your gold watch with a dry and lint
free cloth until it starts to shine. Don’t be too rough you will just need to
gently roll the gold watch around the cloth and dab it. And voila, you will now
have a clean gold watch or cross necklace.

Having women's or men's gold watches is a privilege that many of us would like to have so if you do have one make sure to keep it clean so that it looks its best. If there is anything better than owning a rose gold watch it is owning a shinny watch.
